How I discovered Rolfing: I discovered Rolfing™ while working as a Business Development Manager for a media company in New York. I was developing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from computer work, and had neck and back pain from a whiplash car accident. The Rolfing process greatly relieved my pain, and taught me how to use my body to prevent further discomfort and problems. I tried many different therapies at that time and throughout my life, and I have always been impressed with the long-lasting and effective results from Rolfing.

My focus with Rolfing, Movement and Expressivity: Movement and expressivity play an important part in my life and in my work with Rolfing. I enjoy working with clients to find ways to optimize energy, relax tensions, increase capacity for expression, and help them discover and use their resources. My personal experience with ballet, yoga, Gyrotonic™ and teaching Argentine Tango, has given me a rich understanding of the human body and how it works. This experience is also essential in helping with injury rehabilitation, pain management, and problems with posture and balance. As a dancer and musician, I enjoy working with performance artists and musicians to maximize performance potential, and address difficulties related to posture, repetitive movement, communication and effective body use. I also enjoy working with women on pregnancy and post-partum issues, guiding them into a fuller expression of health.

My Rolfing Praxis: I have a Rolfing practice near Bahnhof SBB with my partner, Dr. Joachim Dietiker (www.rolfing-md.ch). In our group practice we cover a wide range of skills and expertise. Our philosophy is characterized by a holistic, integrated approach to body and psyche. We focus on high-quality work, with regular exchange of ideas and experiences, and continuous external training. The interpersonal contact in our practice is characterized by openness and acceptance, empathy and a non-judgmental attitude toward our clients.

My background: I graduated from Brown University, USA, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and American Literature. I am a Certified Advanced Rolfer™ and Rolf Movement™ Practitioner, trained in Boulder, USA and in Munich, Germany.  My continuing education includes in-depth studies in Craniosacral Osteopathy, Visceral Manipulation, Rolfing Movement, Rehabilitation and Core Stabilization, the Female Pelvis, ScarWork, BoneWork and SourcePoint™ Therapy. I am also a certified Peter Hess™ Sound Massage Practitioner.
